VP of Sales- Distal Extremities will promote and enhance all sales initiatives, activities and objectives. Leadership will include but not be limited to focused sales progress tracking, key product performance, key account penetration, key opinion leader relationships and Technology Consultant development. VP of Sales- Distal Extremities will be consulting with surgeons in the operating room regarding the use of our implants and instruments. This role is responsible for achieving predetermined sales goals and quotas and demands strong leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meeting and exceeding sales objectives for the agency
  • Increase Team 1’s market share by building and maintaining strong business relationships, and by developing and implementing sales strategies
  • Set the example in areas of knowledge base, character, commitment, organization, selling skills and work ethic.
  • Communicate with current and new customer accounts regarding a variety of topics, including product updates, changes to product portfolio, and educational programs
  • Train surgeons, staff and reps on the proper use of all Arthrex distal extremity products to help them achieve better patient outcomes
  • Implement new sales plans and effective marketing strategies to position the organization competitively and to meet/exceed territory objectives
  • Identify the needs of new prospects and develop appropriate responses (written, telephone and face-to-face
  • Cross-sell additional products and manage new product introductions as they become available.
  • Collaborate to address any problems that arise.
  • Maintain training in sales skills, product features/benefits, and other critical business applications.
  • Collect competitive data and remain current on industry, customer, and competitive trends.
  • Initiate and coordinate development of annual, quarterly, and monthly targets and action plans to grow business sales of existing, new products and focus products
  • Create and conduct presentations and RFP responses in conjunction with leadership team

Job requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2 years sales experience (medical sales preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to relate to customers and constituents within the orthopedic/sports medicine market.
  • Experience as an associate in the orthopedic industry is a plus.
  • Must be comfortable in surgery/operating room environments.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Strong public speaking and communication skills are required.
  • Strong sense of urgency is important.
  • Ability to create effective business plan (30/60/90)
  • Commissioned driven individual.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

  • Current Driver’s license
  • Access to your own transportation
